Deborah’s love of nature and how it appears in color, texture and movement are the basis of her canvases. How emotion is generated by nature; a snapshot through the usage of Gesso, newspaper, cheese clothe, graphite, modelling paste and acrylics on canvas. Her graphic explanations of landscapes leaves the viewer with the thought that something has just occurred or will be happening in the near future. Most of her work is based on places she has hiked, photographs she’s taken or swiped from magazines; all for inspiration. A translation of her life’s travels.
